Have you ever thought about a finance career in an energy industry?
Our three-year finance programme will give you exposure to a variety of Centrica businesses and help you to build the foundations of a successful career in finance.
You'll undertake three one-year placements, gaining wide knowledge across operations, as well as building experience in a variety of finance disciplines.
Our finance graduates have traditionally studied for either a CIMA or ACCA qualification and we will be offering in-house ACA training in 2009 in partnership with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). We will give you all the support you need to help you decide which of these is best for you, pay for your qualifications and give you time off to study.
International placements have been a core part of the finance scheme over the past few years, with graduates living and working in the US and Canada.
Years 1 & 2
Financial accounting and business finance
During the first two years and two 12-month placements, you’ll gain a solid grounding in financial accounting and business finance. This will complement your studies by giving you practical experience of financial and management accounting issues. During your first year, you will be given an option of a mentor from the finance senior management team as well as a graduate buddy from our current intake and finance programme manager. The programme manager will support your learning and development on the programme.
